Veggie Chana Masala
Chana Masala is a delightfully popular meal made all over India and Pakistan. This versatile meal filled with protein, flavor and spices is enjoyed in a number of ways. Some eat it with roti, or a deep fried roti (puri or bhatura). Some have it with plain bread. Some have it with even more varieties of bread; like naan, paratha, kulcha and more. It is well savored with rice too!
Simply put, it’s an all round hit in the world of gastronomy!
Recently, chana masala has been a dear favorite of kind, caring Vegans. I’m not surprised at all! It’s lovely!
A couple weeks ago I posted my delicious dinner on Instagram; reminiscent of ma’s lovely chole (chana masala) of course; and quite a few people said that I should post the recipe on my blog. PS- I’m so sorry for posting a number of weeks after.
This chana masala is not as close to my mum’s recipe in terms of taste; as I skipped out on some of the spices, to make it quicker and so as to tone down on the spices just a little. It is robust and satisfying nevertheless. Also, it will have your kitchen bursting with a beautiful aroma. Just saying.
