Almond Nogg Peppermint Hot Cocoa
Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating it today, and happy holidays to everyone else <3
It's been getting colder in Vancouver and being someone that feels cold incredibly fast just makes me want to indulge in a bowl of warmth- food and drinks and a cozy blanket. Do you feel the same too? Then you know how I feel and you're looking forward to making this delicious cup of deliciousness, right?
I thought so ;)
Btw, I've never taken the time to try out real egg nogg- I just took a sip a couple years ago and wasn't very fond of it. So when I heard about almond nogg, I wasn't too sure what to think about it. But I knew I had to try it and decide for myself. I got some Almond Nogg courtesy So Fresh- my favourite brand for plant based milk and gave it a try.
I had the sweetened vanilla version (they have unsweetened as well) and found it to be a little too sweet and cinammony for my preference, but I'm not sure if that's what egg nogg tastes like. Nevertheless, I didn't mind it; especially since I'd be making some peppermint hot chocolate with it. It balanced out and I looooooved the peppermint profile to this! I also used Castle Kitchen's vegan hot cocoa mix and some vegan marshmallows that I found at Whole Foods.
This Almond Nogg Peppermint Hot Cocoa is:
Warm & comforting
Rich & delicious
Not overly sweet
Perfect to cozy up with, alongside a book, movies and your favourite blanket.
Let's make some A.Nogg Peppermint Hot Cocoa, shall we?
