I'm sure everybody's been looking forward to the weekend (and my smoothie post. I knew it!).
If you saw my instagram post you know that I mentioned how I really like pina coladas very much!
I made this greena pina colada smoothie to enjoy some tropical goodness and to include some extra TLC for my body, aka GREENS. We actually don't consume as many veggies and fruits as we need; and that's not a good thing for a number of reasons (I will be blogging about this :D). So, I added a whole bunch of greens in my smoothie bowl which tasted FAB by the way!!
I take whole green and multivitamin supplements (w/ b12) everyday to supplement my daily diet for a nutritional boost. And recently; I've invested in some other supplements, like Iron and D3; which is incredibly important especially if you live in countries that don't get a lot of sunlight during winters.
So, in this smoothie, I've added some specific ingredients to boost overall health and is good to have anytime really. This greena pina colada smoothie is:
- Delicious and kinda creamy
- Topped with crunchy goodness
- Jam packed with nutrients for your soul.
Some other things you wanna know about this bowl of goodness is that it has healthy fats, like your coconut milk, omega 3s and 6s with some protein from chia seeds, tons of green superfoods from land and sea veggies as a powder I used (Ergogenics), anti inflammatory agents like pineapple and turmeric powder, potassium and energizer like banana and some more fun ingredients like nuts and seeds and some granola to complete this!
