Pumpkin Spiced Smoothie Bowl
Let's celebrate! I tried my first ever pumpkin.spiced.smoothie!
Quick side note: My adobe editing software has some issues right now, so I can't share more delish pictures with you temporarily :(
But on a positive note let's carry on to pumpkin goodness!
I gotta say, I wasn't really sure what to expect, except all the hype that lead me to assume it would be sorta sweet and not very vegetable like? You get me?
And then the first time I made some, I accidentally dumped too much pumpkin puree in there and in attempts to make up for that I added too much banana. Yikes girl, get your stuff together! :p
Just kidding! The entire process of figuring out a good ratio was actually fun. It was worth watching though because I came home from work late the day I had to get some shots in. I was comically and frantically fumbling over things to make my smoothie. I messed it up instead and decided to shoot the next day.
I was really glad it turned out well, however; and I learned two things from it. Creamier smoothies come from a magic touch of coconut milk and oat milk! Another trick? Use frozen pumpkin puree for a thicker consistency. Errrrhhh mah gaaaaahhhd, this smoothie was da bomb!
I like how my chia pudding added a fun and chewy texture to the smoothie too.
A lightly spiced healthy alternative to the popular and caffeinated PSL is a MUST TRY!
I think I actually prefer this over a PSL.
PS, when it comes to toppings for your smoothie bowl, don't forget to add some thinly sliced green grapes. Those mini tangs you'll taste really compliment the pumpkin spice smoothie and make it more enjoyable. It's something I had no idea would taste this great combined.
Let's make a smoothie bowl, pumpkin <3
